The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a network protocol that allows the subscriber to receive Arabic and English news from Qatari News Agency via Internet. These are the same news transferred to subscribers through leased linking lines.

News are sent to subscribers in a classified manner and are displayed in the form of a text file. Qatari News Agency provides the subscriber with a username and a password so that he can be connected the FTP server and allows him to download news on his personal computer.
