      Tourist Visa

      Applications for tourist visas are submitted to the Immigration Department (Airport Visa Section) by one of the registered hotels. Visas are usually issued within 24 hours and are valid for 14 days and can be extended for another 14 days. For more information click here.

      Tourist Visa through Qatar Airways

      This service allows visitors to Qatar to request a visitor visa while on Qatar Airways.

      What you need to do

    • Click on the "Launch e-Service" icon above to apply online.
    • Select the visa type from the visa list.
    • Complete the visa form.
    • Confirm your details, if necessary change them.
    • Confirm the information you provided is true to proceed with your visa.
    • You will get an instant response. (Accepted/ Rejected/ In Progress.)
    • For cases where your application is being processed, you will be notified later if you application is successful or rejected. You can also check your visa’s application on-line.
    • When you get the approval, you will be directed automatically to the Payment page. You can pay the fees only by using MasterCard or Visa.
    • When the payment process is finished, a pop-up window will appear, including visa information that has been approved.
    • Print out the visa information and present it to the relevant authority.
    • Required Documents
    • Copy of the sponsor’s passport and residency
    • Copy of the visitor’s passport (valid date plus entry stamps into Qatar)
    • Documents proving relationship of the visitor to the sponsor.

    • Other Special Conditions
    • The period of this type of visa is 14 days, but you can extend it for another 14 days.
    • It is not allowed for the visa’s holder to stay more than 28 days in the State of Qatar.
    • A fine of 200 Riyals for each day of delay after the 28 day period.
    • The relationship between the person arriving and the sponsor is 1st degree (wife – sons – father - mother - brother - sister).

      • Business Visa

      A company or a recognized establishment submits an application to the Immigration Department (Airport Visa Section). Visas are usually issued within 24 hours, are valid for 14 days, and may be extended for another 3 months.

      GCC Residents Visa

      GCC residents are granted a visa at the Airport. The visa is valid for 14 days and may be extended for another 14 days. Having a valid residence visa in any GCC country is a precondition.

      Visa for the Companions of GCC Nationals

      This visa is granted at any entry point.

      Work Visit Visa

      The Ministry of Interior issues approval. The sponsor handles fees and collection of the visa.

      Family visit Visa

      The Ministry of Interior issues approval. The sponsor handles fees and collection of the visa.

      Multiple-entry Business Visa

      The Ministry of Interior issues approval. The sponsor handles fees and collection of the visa, usually issued within 24 hours.

      Working Visa valid for one year and more

      The Ministry of Interior issues approval. The sponsor handles fees and collection of the visa, usually issued within 24 hours.

      Resident Work Visa

      The Ministry of Interior issues approval. The sponsor submits the application, handles fees and collection of visa, usually given within 24 hours.

      Resident Visa (for families)

      The Ministry of Interior issues approval. The sponsor handles fees and collection of visa.

      Visas for newborns

      This Visa is granted for babies aged less than 3 months, provided that parents hold valid residence permit in Qatar. The baby is required to have a valid passport or attached to the passport of one of its parents and the mother should be on the child's father sponsorship. The visa is issued without charges.
