The state of Qatar attaches great importance to the safety and health of citizens, residents and visitors alike. It deploys every effort to ensure high quality care and services. The State of Qatar guarantees health services to all citizens and residents in government medical institutions through a health card system. The system provides the card holder with a medical record file containing all his/her medical data saved in the nearer health care center. Meanwhile, emergency centers receive all emergency cases without charges for card holders, and proceed to free check up or conduct operations according to diagnosis. The medical examination at public health centers is free for health card holders. The medicines provided by health centers and government hospitals pharmacies are government supported and are often cheap.

  • Qataris:
    • Bring the Health Card application form.
    • Present your passport, ID card or birth certificate for children along with their vaccination card.
    • Bring a photograph, except if your medical file contains a new photograph.
    • Pay the registration fee of 50 QR
  • GCC Citizens:
    • Bring the Health Card application form.
    • Present your passport, ID card or birth certificate for children along with their vaccination card.
    • Bring a personal photo.
    • Pay the registration fee of 50 QR.
  • GCC Visitors:
    • Present your passport.
    • Pay the registration fees.
  • Residents:
    • Bring the Health Card application form.
    • Present your passport, ID card or birth certificate for children along with their vaccination card.
    • Bring a personal photo.
