The ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, created upon the Emiri Decision 23 of 2007, has undertaken to provide services in accordance with the highest standards of quality to match the visions and aspirations for the State of Qatar and consolidate its position at various regional levels.
The ministry undertakes the following tasks:
- Setting up of policies and plans for the workforce, and following up on their implementation.
- Administering and building an integrated information system for the Qatari labor market.
- Planning Qatarization policies for employment, and following up on the implementation.
- Providing social care, social insurance services for constituents and organizing distributing social aid.
- Developing and implementing social development programs.
- Resolving worker disputes in accordance with the law.
- Setting up training programs and vocational rehabilitation programs, and following up on their implementation.
- Caring and housing juveniles in accordance with the law.
- Registering and publicizing associations and private establishments, and supervising them in accordance with the law.
- Setting up housing policies, with co-operation from related entities, and following up on their implementation.
