    Qatari, UAE Forces Begin Peace Shield 1/2012 Military Exercise

    Abu Dhabi, May 27 (QNA) - The United Arab Emirates and Qatari Armed Forces began Sunday the "Peace Shield 1/2012" military exercise.
    The military exercise aimed at  exchanging and enriching expertise as well as improving readiness to maintain Gulf security and stablity.
    It also aims to strengthen the  UAE-Qatari forces performance in carrying out joint operations .
    The broad military exercise, which includes all kinds of weapons and the main branches of UAE and Qatari armies, will continue for several days.
     The exercise is part of a series of joint exercises to be held between the GCC armed forces to enhance their ability to plan, execute and manage joint military operations.(QNA)
