Doha, May 12 (QNA) - The State of Qatar has announced its withdrawal from the initiative of the GCC states to resolve the crisis in the republic of Yemen. This came in a statement by an official source at the Foreign Ministry to Qatar News Agency (QNA) The official source said that HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani had made a telephone call this evening with HE the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdul Latif al Zayani to inform him of this decision, explaining to him that the State of Qatar was compelled to take this decision because of procrastination and delay in signing the agreement proposed in the initiative, with the continued escalation and confrontations and the loss of wisdom, which is incompatible with the spirit of the initiative aimed at resolving the crisis in Yemen in the fastest time , in a way that achieves aspirations of the Yemeni people and maintains the security and stability of Yemen.(QNA)
