Doha, May 16 (QNA) - H.H Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al- Missned Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), attended this evening at the Ritz Carlton the graduation ceremony of the first batch of master''s degrees holders in the Islamic studies from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Member of the Qatar Foundation. The ceremony was attended a number of their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State and the parents of graduates.
The first batch of graduates of the College of Islamic Studies includs 25 students, 13 of them received a Masters degree in public policy in Islam and 8 students on a Masters degree in Islamic studies specialization in contemporary doctrine while 3 Students received MA in Islamic financing and a student received a general Diploma in the Islamic Studies. In a speech on the occasion of graduation, HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari expressed pride that Qatar under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani attaches great interest in advancement of science, knowledge and scientific research and hailed it as courageous political decision and continued hard work to make Qatar as beacon of science and guidance and research in the footsteps of our early Muslims ancestors. HE the Minister said Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF),chaired by HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al- Missned is a unique example for building bright future to be achieved by excellence, creativity and cultural participation.
