    Qatar Radio to Celebrate 44th Anniversary

    Doha, June 23 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HE the Chairman of Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, Qatar Radio will celebrate on Monday its 44th anniversary.
      HE the Executive President of Qatar Media Corporation Mubarak bin Jaham al-Kuwari will attend the reception which will be held at the Radio headquarters to mark the occasion.
     Qatar Radio was officially launched on the 25th of June in 1968 with few hours of broadcasting in the morning and evening. Today, Qatar Radio is broadcasting more than a hundred hours a day a number of miscellaneous services with four languages - Arabic, English, French and Urdu.
     Qatar Radio has a political, cultural, social and entertainment role through broadcasting a variety of quality programs, making it occupy an important position locally and abroad. (QNA)
