• HE Al Attiyah Visits Qatar's Pavilion at Rio +20 Exhibition in Brazil

    Rio de Janeiro, June 20 (QNA) - HE Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, who is also the President of the Climate Change Conference (COP18) and head of Qatar's delegation to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio +20), visited today Qatar's pavilion at the exhibition accompanying the conference, which is held in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro from June 13 to 24.
     HE Al Attiyah toured the pavilion and was briefed on its contents which included the latest publications on sustainable development in the State of Qatar.
     HE Al Attiyah also listened to a detailed explanation from HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Foreign Ministry Dr. Hassan bin Ibrahim Al Mohannadi about Musheireb project in Doha, in addition to the latest preparations for the Climate Change Conference (COP18) to be held in Qatar in the end of November.
     During his tour of the exhibition, HE Al-Attiyah also visited the United Arab Emirates' pavilion and listened to a detailed explanation from official responsible for the pavilion about the latest and current projects related to sustainable development in the UAE.
     HE the Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority toured various pavilions of different countries, including Brazil and Japan.
     HE Al Attiyah was accompanied during the visit by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Brazil Jamal Nasser al-Bader and members of the accompanying delegation. (QNA)
