Moscow, February 22 (QNA) - Moscow affirmed on Wednesday that it is not considering any endeavor in which the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad will be a part of the solution to the crisis in Syria. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said in a press statement today, "Moscow does not run any efforts that include the dismissal of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad from the Syrian political arena."
In this regard, the Russian official added, "We proceed in our approach of the current situation, and such solutions are to be determined only by Syrian people", stressing that it is only the people who decide who leads Syria. (QNA)
