Paris, February 22 (QNA) - Following the death of two Western journalists on Wednesday in Syria, France requested a secure access to provide relief for the victims of the bombing. The Syrian ambassador in Paris was summoned by the French foreign ministry. France made these moves after the reports on the death of French and American journalists in Homs. "Following information that come from Homs, that a group of journalists was the victim of bombing, I demand the Syrian government the immediate cessation of attacks and respect humanitarian obligations that are imposed upon it", said the French Foreign Minister, Alain Juppe, in a statement. "I have asked our embassy in Damascus to demand from Syrian authorities a secure access to rescue the victims with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)", said the minister. Alain Juppe also asked his chief of staff to call the ambassador of Syria to Paris "to convey these requirements and remind him of the intolerable behavior of the Syrian government".(QNA)
