Taipei, January 04 (QNA) - 4.4 - magnitude earthquake jolted sea off the Hualien County on Taiwan's east coast at Friday morning, the China Earthquake Networks Center said. The epicenter was monitored at 24.1 degrees north latitude and 122.3 degrees east longitude with a depth of 7 km, according to Xinhua news agency.
This came just hours after a 4.3-magnitude quake was monitored with the epicenter at 23.9 degrees north latitude and 121.9 degrees east longitude with a depth of 8 km at 2:08 a.m. There has been no report on casualties or property losses on the island. (QNA)
